| Omar Govt completes five years; nothing to show on ground | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Jan 4: What has Omar Abdullah led National Conference (NC)-Congress government to show to people of Jammu and Kashmir after completing five years in office? Going by the facts, one can easily understand that this government is one of the worst ever governments in the state which only promoted corruption within and outside without getting caught. The National Conference has never worked for the betterment of people of the state and this time also, they failed to make any heady. Even they showed a backward trend in fields like development, security and integrity. The chief minister Omar Abdullah was more of a separatist man than a person having integrity with the constitution of India under which oath every elected member has to work. But Omar questioned the very basic issue related to the integrity of state with the union of India when he intentionally raised the issue of merger of J&K with India. Before speaking on the issue, he forgot this fact that his grandfather Sheikh Muhammad Abdullah by signing the Indira-Sheikh accord put an end to it. But to gain the sympathy of separatists and people of valley where the separatism still prevails, Omar played this shot but fired back on him. He was seen as a man of anti-India instruments in the state and lost the credibility with the central government. He somehow managed to save his government by his personal repo with the Congress President Sonia Gandhi and Vice-president Rahul Gandhi. |
