| JKNM criticizes Govt over Displaced Kashmiris’ return | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Jan 4 : Jammu Kashmir Nationalist Movement (JKNM) today expressed resentment against government over fragmented return of displaced Kashmiri people fomenting further trouble and risking the future generation. As per press release, a meeting was held today under the chairmanship of Chairman Advisory Committee JKNM, SK Koul said the state government on one hand demand implementation of interlocutors report and on the other hand mulls their recommendations on displaced persons. The other members said that the present CM has not taken one the issue of vote enrollment and issuance of EPIC cards of displaced community either in the assembly or with election commissioner of India. V K Kashkari co convener JKNM said that in the action taken report of the Parliamentary Standing on Home affairs (DRPSC) the answer to why state Government has not fulfilled 3000 posts, the answer from the government is legal implications. The meeting also noted that the state government is not taking serious the recommendations given by the DRPSC in its report - that demographic change took place after the mass exodus of Hindu minorities took place from the valley. While concluding the meeting BL Pandita Sr. Co convener appealed to the broad spectrum of the community leadership to build consensus & pursue on single return module which would take care of concentrated settlement, non-refoulment, political empowerment, besides preservation of its ethno religious identity. Since the Twin City concept floated by JKNM and endorsed by govt. appointed interlocutors in the shape of "Nav Srinagar" is a pragmatic options. Meanwhile, JKNM condoled the sad demise of 5 years old boy in mishap at Jagti Nagrota. |
