Srinagar, Jan 04: At least seven over ground workers (OGWs) including a father-son duo of Lashkar-e-Toiba outfit were arrested by police in a series of raids across central Kashmir's Budgam district. Police sources told Global News Service (GNS) on Saturday that at least seven youth were arrested in a series of raids across the Budgam district for sheltering the militants owing allegiance to Lashkar. Four sim cards and letter heads of LeT were also recovered from the possession of the OGWs. Sources identified the arrested youth as Maqbool Ahmad Ganai, and his son Younis of Patrigam, Sameer Ahmed Wani, son of Mohammad Ramzan, of Devbagh, Mehraj-ud-din Akhoon, son of Ghulam Nabi, of Sogam Chadura, Irshad Ahmad Dar, son of Ghulam Hassan of Malpora, Nazir Ahmad Kucchay, son of Mohammad Sultan of Sonergund, and Mushtaq Ahmd Ganai of Wathura, all residents of Budgam. "A case has been registered 1/2014 under section 121, 212 has been registered against them," sources added. |
