| Renowned Jammu artist invited to "Art-in- Industry Camp' | | | Early Times Report
Jammu Jan 4: Suman Gupta, one of the finest and senior artist belonging to J&K State, has been invited by the Tata Steel Limited to attend Art-in-Industry camp to be held at their Center for Excellence at Jamshedpur from Feb 6-9.According to the press statement, the concept of Art-in-Industry in Tata Steel fulfills three objectives viz. it brings together eminent senior artists and emerging artists from across the country on a single platform; it brings the talent of lesser known artists to the notice of leading patrons of art and last but not the least, value adds to Tata Steel's rich art collection. Recipient of the prestigious "Lorenzo IL Magnifico"for his "Untitled" work at Florence Biennial, Italy and National award by Lalit Kala academy, New Delhi he was Invited to show his work at the India special exhibition at 5th"Beijing International Art Biennale" in China in the year 2012.He is also recipient of the J& K state awards besides many other awards to his credit and his collection has gone with some of the best art collectors and celebrities in India and other part of the world. Suman already has the rare honour of being the first Indian painter to exhibit his work at UN's Geneva Centre in 2002 in his credit. |
