Samba, Jan 4: Police today claimed to have recovered the girl within 24 hrs of her abduction from Bus Stand Samba here on Saturday, with the arrest of her abductor, police said.
"The abductor has been namely identified as Sunil Dutt S/O Beeru Ram R/O Rakhambtali Samba," police said.
Giving information Superintendent of Police (SP) Samba Anil Magotra said, "Following a written complaint from father of the minor girl of Rakhambtali, Samba with the Police Post Rakhambtali alleging his daughter has been kidnapped by somebody during the intervening night of January 2/3.
Quoting complainant, SP Samba, said, " the girl reportedly was kidnapped from Bus Stand Samba.'
He added accordingly a case FIR No. 02/2012 u/s 363/109 RPC P/S Samba was lodged and police started investigation. "Acting promptly police lifted one suspect (a friend of the kidnapper) who was put on sustained questioning and his disclosure gave police a lead and police arrested the kidnapper when he was trying to escape outside the State, police official said adding, "police team comprising SI Mohinder Pal, Incharge P/P Rakhambtali under the supervision of Munish Anand, DySP HQ Samba recovered the girl.'
SP Samba further said that after medical examination of recovered girl, she was handed over to her legal heirs.
