Srinagar, Jan 4: Stating that there is no rift within the congress party in state, senior congress leader and Minster for tourism Gulam Ahmad Mir Saturday said that there might be differences of opinion among the congress leadership in the state but when it comes to the decision making we are united.
"There are rumors that there is a rift within the Congress party which is not true. There is no rift in the party. There might be the differences of opinions which you can find in any political party but when it comes to the decision making we are united, "Mir said on the sidelines of a function here.
According to correspondent when asked about the chances of alliance with National Conference in the upcoming assembly elections Mir said, "It is up to the party heads to decide but Congress wants to be self dependent in the elections. I think people of J&K are wise enough to choose the best government." On the declaration of congress Prime Ministerial Candidate, Mir stated.
"It's a big national party, give us some time, what is the rush. We will announce it soon. I think the other political parties were in too much hurry to declare it," he added. |
