Kishtwar, Feb 10: Once again coming forward to help the locals living in far remote areas deprived from basic amenities, Indian Air Force (IAF) airlifted a critical pregnant woman from Warwan to District Hospital Kishtwar As per reports IAF Chopper airlifts 27 year old lady identified as Shamala Begum wife of Shabir Ahmed Lone resident of village Brayan in Warwan area of Kishtwar District to main town for better and advanced medical treatment. Reports said, the lady developed labour pain and local medical helper suggested the family members to shift the patient to Kishtwar Hospital, but due to heavy snowfall in the area, the only road link up to nearest road point at Inshan was blocked and then the help from military authorities was sought. After airlifting the critical patient and her attendant the IAR chopper landed at Kishtwar helipad from where the army personal of 8 RR came forward and shifted the patient to District hospital safely in a private vehicle where the patient was successfully operated by the doctors. The family members and relatives of the said lady hails the goodwill gesture of IAF and army personal of 8 RR for their help to the patient in need of hour.
