Bashir Assad

Jammu, Feb 10: The opposition PDP Monday accused the government of protecting ex-minister and MLA, Rajouri, Shabir Khan so that he can destroy the evidences against himself in the molestation case registered in the Police Station, Shahid Gunj, Srinagar.
PDP president Mehbooba Mufti while expressing her anguish over not arresting Khan even after an FIR is lodged against him told reporters that the government was protecting the ex-minister. "The government is protecting Shabir Khan," Mehooba said. She alleged that the Government wants to destroy the evidence against Khan and that is the reason he is not being arrested. "The government is out to protect the ex-minister, otherwise how is it possible that he can't be arrested," she said.
Mehbooba, along with her party legislatures during the Governors address also accused that Khan is avoiding arrest only because he is being "Shielded" by the government.
After disrupting the Governor's speech against the issue, Mehbooba said "the Government wants She said the lady doctor, who has said that Khan molested her, is well respected in the society. "The Government is not acting because they are out to protect the ex-minister," she alleged.
Describing Omar Abdullah led government as scandalous, Mehbooba said Omar started his innings with rape and murder of two women in Shopian by the government forces and is about to close his innings again with molestation of a respectable doctor by one of his ministers. He said her party will agitate on involvement of ministers and NC leaders in scandals like JKCA Scam, BOPEE scam, Forest Scam, land grabbing and other scams of the Omar government.
