| Chaman Lal terms Governor's address 'Government propaganda booklet' | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Feb 10: Prof. Chaman Lal Gupta, MLA Jammu West Constituency has termed Governor address as not aspiring. It sounds just a Government propaganda booklet based upon their press notes prepared keeping in view the coming elections. It is more like a statement to cover up the 5 year failures and wrongs of this coalition".
It has put forth no proposal for removal of regional disparities and have fresh delimitation of Assembly constituencies to ensure fair political representation to all regions as also Scheduled Tribes.
"Above all it did not make any proposal for free flow of the provisions of Indian constitution beneficial to the people of the state. Moreover, there is no mention even about what was committed earlier especially the elections to local bodies and empowerment of woman as also the weaker sections. Thus, promises made earlier are being over looked". |
