| PDP slams coalition for its failure | | | Early Times Report
Rajouri, Feb 10: Senior PDP leader Shahzad Khan slammed the coalition government for its failure to give good governance to the people of the state thus their welfare and development. According to press release, Shahzad said that the present coalition government has befooled the people especially the Pir Panjal range. He said that the government has made a mockery of the people and thus hurt their sentiments by first proposing and then declining the Jammu-Poonch rail link mere on the pretext of lack of fund. "The rail link will not only make the connectivity easier but will also bring the people closer to the rest of the country but will also create employment avenues and economic development of the region", he said, adding that the government should reconsider the project and put it to plan. Talking on the issue of unemployment Shahzad said that there has been not a single on spot recruitment in this part of the state. "The number of unemployed and subsequently disgruntled youth is increasing day by day but the government is least bothered", he said, adding that even development of tourism in the region which is bestowed by nature with some great scenic beauties besides spiritual and religious places, isnot being done by this biased government. Shahzad further said that facility for air travels also need to be made. "There were flights plying between Rajouri and Jammu in the nineties but it was stopped later. He has urged the government to restart the aerial travel so that people can easily travel thus saving their precious time as also the long journey", he said. |
