| Administration fails to curb road accidents | | | Neeraj Badyal
Samba, Feb 10: The increased numbers of road accidents caused due to the increased rash driving and overloading of passengers has become a serious concern for the authorities. With a voracity to earn more money matador operators in Samba are daily surpassing limits for overloading. A passenger from Samba alleged that the huge of erring money has made the operators so greedy. So behind that they have started defying the traffic rules and safety to passenger as well as other vehicle travelling on the road. Even the Traffic Department seems to be casual and has turned a blind eye. Towards the situation what else in this if not a nexus between these operators and the department he asked and keep it mums. Another passenger said most of the times matadors are seen overloaded, especially in samba to Sumb route, Samba to Bainglar route, Samba to Mansar route and other routes of national highway. In the morning students are huddled in these matadors and some are hanged with the doors. Moreover auto travelling to village routes are also overloaded most of times. Not only overloading but rash driving has also become a nuisance for public. Matadoors from Samba to Vijaypur route much move with high speed at college road that other vehicle give them way just out of fear for hit he added. The Matadoors can be seen racing with the each other with flattery of getting more passengers at bus stop Samba and bus stop Vijaypur. DC Office route are also overloaded and the concerning department keep it a big silence that a serious issue. School buses are also being overloaded. It seems suspicious why the department does not take any action against the defiance. After repeated contact, ARTO Samba Pawan Sharma was not available to pick the call. |
