| New adm units to bring Govt more closer to people: Kichloo | | | early times report jammu, Feb 10: The Minister of State for Industries and Commerce, Home and Tourism, Sajad Ahmed Kichloo today reiterated Government's commitment to decentralize power at the grass roots level and take the administration at the doorsteps of people adding that creation of new administrative in nook and corner of the state is a fresh people friendly initiative in this regard. Speaking to various deputations from remote areas of Machail and Padder areas of Kishtwar district, which called on him today at civil secretariat Jammu to express their gratitude for opening new administrative units in these backward areas, Kichloo said "he will endeavor to have one Panchayat in each village of the district Kishtwar besides having maximum possible administrative units in the form of Tehsils and Naibats so that people living in this tough and rugged terrain shall have not to travel long distances on foot to get their grievances redressed." Most of the hilly and remote areas of the district Kishtwar lack proper road connectivity, which has necessitated creation of more administrative units there," Kichloo maintained adding that effort of the Government is to fulfill basic need of the people. The people of the Machail demanded opening of Primary Health Centre (PHC), J&K Bank Branch and Post Office besides creation of more Panchayat Halqas. The Minister assured that all their genuine demands would be considered favorably. |
