| Jat community hopeful of solution to their issues | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Feb 10: The Jat community of the state today through a press statement has expressed hope of a genuine solution to their demands in coming days. Ch Manmohan Singh, President All India Jat Mahasabha J&K had gone to meet authorities in Delhi to discuss their issues. He with Ch. Harpal Singh Harpura, Senior Vice President All India Jat Mahasabha met with Maharaja Capt. Amrinder Singh , Former CM and President All India Jat Mahasabha. They presented him with some problems faced by the Jat community in J&K, and the recent negligence in the OBC category and refugees issue .Capt. Amrinder Singh was already aware of the difficult living conditions of people and their need of support from government. He assured the Jat delegation from Jammu that he will take up the matter with Omar Abdullah to send recommendations to Union Government asking for inclusion of Jats in OBC category along with other states and to meet with Sonia Gandhi on these issues. Moreover he wanted to get this demand approved before the model code of conduct becomes applicable in the state. Ch. Singh invited both of them to visit J&K and enjoy the hospitality of Jats of J&K. Futher Ch. Manmohan Singh met with MP Madan lal sharma and Ch.Lal Singh getting assurance from them of raising in parliament ,issue of jat of J&K excluded from central order govt granting OBC to Jats of India and Refugees issue. |
