| Sikh organizations stage protest against Health Minister | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Feb 10: Various Sikh organizations including Sikh Intellectuals Circle, Sikh Students Federation, Jammu Kashmir Sikh League and Sikh Welfare Front have expressed their serious concern and anguish over the sexual assault on a lady doctor by former minister of state for Health Shabir Ahmed Khan and said it reflects the level of morality of the present rulers in Jammu & Kashmir.
According to press release, senior leaders of these organizations in a joint meeting held here today under the chairmanship of Narinder Singh Khalsa have demanded stern action against the accused and said its seems that state administration has left the accused MLA free to make the witnesses hostile and destroy vital evidence.
Sikh organizations condemned the biased and concocted comments of Choudhary Lal Singh Congress MP against the lady doctor, which are highly objectionable and outrageous. Ch. Lal Singh has abused and demonized the brave lady doctor who has dared to raise the voice against the tyranny.
This incident has once again exposed the level of democracy in Jammu and Kashmir, as a political system operating in great degree of indifference and impunity and consequently many senior Ministers are being continuously protected from serious charges of corruption and irregularities, they said. |
