Mendher, Feb 10: Just few day after the then Minister of State for Health Shabir Ahmed Khan addressed rally in a school at Government High School Gambhir Brahmana Rajouri, local senior Congress leader from Mendher continuing the league addressed a political rally in Govt Higher Secondary Harni Mendher here today particularly when the practical examinations for Class XII were on in the school. As some black moles in education department at the helms of affairs were appeasing the politicians just to satisfy their personal interests the academic sessions of the students are put on the stake but of their no faults. Students of Class 12 taking practical examination for Environmental Sciences of Government Higher Secondary School Harni in Mendher of Poonch were taken to their surprise when their attention was diverted by the deafening sound of the sound system besides sloganeering of the public rally addressed by a local Congress leader and his sympathizers. When contacted Principal of the Govt Higher Secondary School Mendher told that school in question presently is being managed by an In charge (I/C) principal Mohd Asraf Khan and he can't comment in this regard An aggrieved student told the media persons in Mendher that not only the school premises but the infrastructure like desks and tables too were snatched away from the students who were forced to sit on ground. The public rally which commenced this noon continued till late afternoon i.e. 3:30pm putting the students of the school at losers end. Meanwhile Sub District Magistrate (SDM) Mendhar Ramesh Kumar (IAS) briefly said that following complaints from some parents he had asked Dy Chief Education Officer Poonch to seek explanation from the concerned officials. He also said that civil administration has already restricted public rallies in all educational institutions and why this has happened we are probing the matter. Here it needs to mention earlier students at the Govt High School Gambhir Brahmna of Rajouri were forced to sit in open ground in rains as a programme of Minister of State for Health (I/C) Shabir Ahmed Khan was held during school was in progress on Feb 6. |
