| Baridar Association Sukrala Mata stages protest against MSBSSB | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, May 6: The members of the Baridar Association Sukrala Mata, Billawar today staged protest demonstration against Mata Sukrala Bala Sundri Shrine Board.
It is to mention that team of Mata Sukrala Bala Sundri Shrine Board led by Naib Tehsildar faced the protest by the Baridar Association members when they tried to collect the cash offering from the Sukrala Mata Shrine.
President of the Baridar Association Sukrala Mata Billawar Satish Sharma said that a team of Mata Sukrala Bala Sundri Shrine Board led by Naib Tehsildar visited Shrine of Mata Sukrala Devi to take the cash offering which they opposed.
He said that they would not let the Board to control and manage the affairs of holy deity of Mata Sukrala. He said that rights and interests of the Baridar should be taken care in the controlling and managing of the same.
"The genuine caretakers i.e. Uppadya parivar who are managing the affairs of the Mata since its inception from last 600 years has been totally ignored regarding affairs of the Sukrala Mata after the formation of Mata Sukrala Bala Sundri Shrine Board", he mentioned, adding, "They will oppose any board activity till board will not recognize the interests and rights of the Baridar association".
He demanded that all possible rights should be given to the Baridars on the line of Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board. Sharma further said that chairman of the Board and Divisional Commissioner Jammu, vice chairman Board and DC Kathua and others have assured them that they will address their demands but nothing concrete has happened so far forced them to oppose any activities of the Baord.
Among others who were participated in the protest were Mahinder Vaid, Aman Sharma, Rohit, Rajneesh, Rakesh, Bishan Dutt and others. |
