Jammu, May 6: Prof. Rajan Saxena, a distinguished Professor of Marketing Management and Vice Chancellor, Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (Deemed University) as well as former Director of IIM, Indore interacted with the faculty members, research scholars and students of School of Business, SMVD University. Prof. Saxena emphasized on enhancement of decision making & problem solving skills in addition to social skills for the development of creative human capital for the present dynamic business world. Prof. Saxena depicted the role of massive open online courses and study material for modernizing the pedagogy of management education. During the discussion Prof. Sudhir K. Jain, Vice Chancellor, SMVD University put forward the idea of better learning, focused goal settings and wholesome attempts towards achieving them. Prof. Jain also reiterated the essence of better performance management with the help of normal curve extremes and distribution. In the process of interface variety of queries and concerns were raised by the faculty members including Dr. Saurabh, Dr. Ashutosh Vashistha, Pabitra Jena and research scholars including Naveed Majid, Ajaz, Abid Hussain of School of Business. Replying to the queries, Prof. Saxena revealed significance of case study and live project based teaching methodology for the better delivery in classroom teaching. While describing the process of empirical research, efforts of passing the 'Dark Tunnel' are essentially required for a wide horizon and perspective.
