| 2 killed, 4 injured in road mishap | | | Udhampur, May 6: At least two laborers were killed and four were injured when an Army Tipper hit their vehicle at Dhar road in Udhampur.
As per police reports, Army (MES) Tipper registration no 99P012753E lost the control and hit a vehicle resulting a spot killing of two persons and injuring four pedestrian and four vehicles including TATA 207 bearing registration no. JK14C-9435, Indica car bearing registration no. JK14A-8687, Mini bus bearing registration no.JK14B-5271 and Tractor bearing registration no.JK14C-6571 near 35 BRTF Dhar Road in Udhampur. Police rushed to the spot and shifted the injured persons to District Hospital Udhampur. The deceased were identified as Yuvraj Singh (19) son of Mahabir Singh and Manoj Kumar (19) son of Lal Mohan Singh of District Kathar Bihar. The injured persons identified as Sushma Devi (35) wife of Gopal Singh of Chart Pakhlai and Madhan Lal (40) son of Hem Raj of Kiya Ramnagar Udhampur District.
Meanwhile Udhampur Police arrested driver of vehicle namely Sipahi Amilarsan 5271 ASE Battalion and Tipper seized. Udhampur Police registered the case and further investigation goes on. |
