| Another bid foiled, 10-12 ultras hounded back by vigilant forces | | Mendhar belt turning vulnerable to Pak's infiltration attempts | | Mohammad Shafiq Nazki
Mendhar, May 6: While the frustrated neighbour enemy in Pakistan relents to stop to its mischievous activities of carrying on this its attempts to infiltrate ultras to this side of the Indian Territory, the ever vigilant Indian army is giving a strong reciprocal to the enemy by thwarting all its attempts. The Mendhar sector bordering the Pakistan through LoC has become, of late, the hot spot for Pakistan's impish activities which have become a commonplace phenomenon these days. Score of infiltration bids and ceasefire violations have been reported in the area as Pakistan' frustrated designs to rattle peace in Jammu and Kashmir has become quite inordinate, given the fact that India under all compulsive situations even have maintained silence and dignity not to attempt any mischief from its own side . Intervening night of May 5-6 once again witnessed a rouge endeavour embarked upon by the Pakistan Rangers providing a passage to nearly 10-12 heavily armed ultras who tried to sneak into this side of Indian Territory around 11 p.m, at night. The desperate cadre tried frantically for two hours till 1 a.m. in the night to get the access into the India territory through Dera Dadsi area which is on the Indian side, a part of which also sprawls into the Pak territory. As per the reports, 650 Mujhaid Regiment stationed on the other side tried to facilitate the dreaded 10-12 terrorists on this side who were effectively hounded back by 5 Grenadiers posted on Indian side on the Noual Post and Sher Shiva Post on this side . The 5 Grenadiers is stationed at Sabra Gali and is operating under 120 BG Brigade in the Mendhar sector and has earned conspicuous distinction to be the most vigilant Indian force which have held its forte high in the area and has thwarted all attempts of the Pakistan to facilitate its cadre into this side of Indian territory. Sources hoverer inform that after facing several defeats from the Indian army , the Pak Rangers have given space to Border Action Team of Pakistan to occupy the frontier to facilitate for the terrorists to sneak into the Indian territory. Already it has been reported in the section of media that terrorists have made number of launching pads on the other side of LoC in Mendhar, Surankote, Poonch area and the hardcore militants have taken charge on the front for an opportunity to strike while infiltrating into this side . It is pertinent to mention that under the prevalent situation, Flag Meeting seems remote possibility among the two DGMOs as while India is ready to come on the table while the enemy is showing the reluctance. Sources claim that it is high time that Indian army should launch a protest against teh Pakistan army over the continuous skirmishes and infiltration attempts endeavoured by Pakistan and come to a final solution, lest the situation in the area is likely to deteriorate with the passage of time. "The foggy and rainy weather prevalent in the area is giving Pakistan due advantage while their some of the posts are on the height of advantage and they are continuously trying with their mischief," said the sources . Nearly 40 to 50 militants are reported to be active on the other side of Pakistan in this area awaiting a chance to sneak into Indian border, sources claim. |
