Kathua, May 6: A Himachal based labourer died after he accidentally fall on a grid of iron rods at VGS Stone Crusher Gandyal on the bank of Ravi river here today.
"The deceased has been identified namely as Jasbinder Singh Saini (55) s/o Gulzar Singh Saini resident of Dharamshala of District Kangra, Himachal Pradesh, police sources said.
Sources said that the labourer died during an industrial accident at VGS Stone Crusher Gandyal on the bank of Ravi River when he accidently fell from a roof top on pile of iron rods (saria) which penetrated into his abdomen resulting his death on spot.
"Labourers working on the stone crusher rushed to spot and shifted Jasbinder at District Hospital Kathua in the supervision of police where he was declared as brought dead by the doctors, police sources said. After getting the postmortem conducted, the body was handed over to the family members for last rites, sources said, adding a case stands registered in this regard. |
