| ABVP stages protest against VC JU over hostel fee hike | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, May 6: Continuing the agitation which entered in 55th day against the Hostel Fee hike, the ABVP activists protested outside the Vice-Chancellor secretariat and sat on Dharna for about three hours.
The protesting students were raising slogans against Vice-Chancellor. The protesting students were led by Ashwani Sharma president ABVP Jammu University while lambasting on the Jammu University administration, he said our agitation has entered 55th day but the Jammu University administration especially the Vice-Chancellor has not changed his insensitive, irresponsible attitude towards the genuine demand of the students at large.
He further said that we demand immediate roll back of hostel fee hike and constitution of an inquiry committee against the embezzlement that took place in the hostel fee hike. He also said that we have given an ultimatum of 24 hours to the Jammu University administration to fullfill our demands otherwise the students will sit on fast unto death and the Vice-Chancellor will be fully responsible for the consequences. |
