| Telecom companies dupe customers | | Aircel tops list of non-performers | | Bivek Mathur Jammu, May 7: Private telecommunication companies in Jammu and Kashmir are duping customers with shamelessness in the name of packages and like the Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL), on ground their performance is zero whether networking or internet services delivery system is concerned. Among the defaulters, Aircel occupies top position as users of this private telecommunication company are claiming number of problems with the networking. However this company has been using the tagline of "Jammu Kashmir ka apna network" since it established its roots in the state but from the date it has neither gained any success in streamlining its network within city limits or peripherals nor it has shown any development in its grievances redressal mechanism. According to a postpaid user of Aircel, Rakesh Kumar of Purani Mandi who was overcharged with Rs 1200 including Value Added Services (VAS) as total balance against own policies of the company when registered his complaint with the customer care about the problem, he was assured that the complaint has been forwarded to the concerned quarter and within stipulated time period, the matter of overcharging would be sorted out. After the said period, when the customer again complained with no solution to his former complaint, his call was handed over to a senior executive who again promised him with similar tricks and then the call was subsequently disconnected by the company and his repeated attempts went in vain as no one replied. Similar is the problem with so called best networks like Vodafone, Reliance in the state as they have failed to streamline their networking system within city limits whereas in the villages expecting network and services is still a distant dream in Jammu and Kashmir. |
