Kathua, Sept 28 : Sant Nirankari Charitable Foundation Branch Kathua today donated 136 units of blood, in camp held at Satsang Bhawan, Kathua. According to press release, the camp was inaugurated by Deputy Commissioner Kathua, Dr Shahid Iqbal, along with Brig. PS Cheema, Member Incharge, Social Welfare and Medical Health, Sant Nirankari Mandal, Delhi. Speaking on the occasion Dr Shahid Iqbal said that the mission gave the real message of love, peace, communal harmony, and universal brotherhood. He assured his full cooperation to the Nirankari Mission for the welfare of mankind. He lauded the social welfare activities conducted by the mission all over the world. Brig Cheema said that blood donation camps started in 1986 by his holiness Satguru Baba Hardev Singh Ji Maharaj and Param Pujya Mata Ji and his holiness gave message that "blood should flow in veins and not in drains.He said that since 1986-2013 total 3627 blood donation camps was organized in which 639785 units were donated. In 2014 470 camps were planned by the mission. Rev. Ajit Singh zonal in-charge welcomed all dignitaries presented on the occasion and congratulated donors for this noble cause. Rev Satish Virdi Sanjojak Kathua presented the vote of thanks to all for making camp a great success.The camp was held in collaboration with blood bank Government Medical College Jammu, District Hospital Kathua, Indian Red Cross Society and JKSACS. |
