Jammu, Sept 28: The All J&K ReT Teachers forum on Sunday demanded release salary of regularized ReT Teachers under Sarva Shiksha Abhiyaan (SSA). According press release, a meeting was held here at Exhibition Ground Jammu under the chairmanship of State President Vinod Sharma and State vice President Younis Rahi. The meeting was attended by state apex body members besides District Presidents of the Forum. Speaking on the occasion Vinod Sharma on behalf of ReT-Teachers Forum pleaded the state and central government to release funds under SSA so that several months' salary of Regularised ReT Teachers under SSA be met out. He said that these ReT Teachers are without salary for last three to eight months in different districts of the state and are facing a lot of problems. "On the one hand many ReT Families have become victims due to recent flood situations in the state and on the other hand they have been facing financial crunch due to non-release of salary" said Sharma. He further added that even it is a season of festivals like Navratras, Rammahanavami, Dussehra, Eid and Diwali but it is difficult for these teachers to meet out their both ends when the prices are rising high day by day. The Provincial president Rajesh Singh Jamwal in his speech appealed the chief minister and the Deputy Chief Minister to intervene personally in this regard so that these teachers may get their salaries before Eid and other festivals. Others who also spoke on the occasion included Lekh Raj Parihar, Jasbir Singh, Joginder Kumar Inderjit Singh, Ravi Sharma, Rajinder Singh, Ravinder, Rajit, Surjeet, Pankaj, Mahesh, Om Parkash, Shabir Ahmed and others. |
