Babu Singh, bros get bail

KATHUA, Nov 27: Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) today granted bail to former minister and Congress candidate from Kathua seat Babu Singh and his brothers who were booked for allegedly booked for trespassing into the house of PDP candidate from constituency Subash Sharma. On the directions of the court, a case under section 460, 504, 506, 509, 149 and 120/B was registered against Babu Singh, his brothers Ravinder Singh and Satinder Singh, Rahul Sharma, Kane, Avtar Singh, Sahab Singh and 50-60 unknown persons on November 27. The Congress candidate along with his brothers surrendered before the CJM court which granted them bail. The FIR was registered on the directions of the Court after the PDP candidate and his family members approached the court pleading that the police did not initiate action against Babu Singh and his supporters for forcibly entering their house and abusing the women on November 22. Subash Sharma is the son of former Deputy Chief Minister Mangat Ram Sharma who had recently joined the PDP and was given mandate from Kathua constituency.
