JAMMU, Dec 30: State volleyball team today left for participation in the 63rd Senior National Volleyball Championship to be held at Chennai from January three to January 11.
Earlier, the selected probable underwent a 21-day coaching camp conducted by State Sports Council at MA Stadium, here. Before their departure for the venue, the team members interacted with president of the Volleyball Association of J&K, Raj Daluja and members of the State Sports Council, Rashid Ahmed as also Sports Officer, Rajan Sharma.
The team is accompanied by Sujjad Hussain, Naresh Kumar and Akbar Ali a coach, assistant coach and manager respectively. The state team has been placed in group-E with Uttar Pradesh, Telangana, Bihar and Maharashtra.
The Team: Imtiaz Ahmed, Rajinderpal Singh, Zorabar Singh, Danish Khajuria, Jaffar Hussain, Ashiq Hussain, Mohd. Imran, Romi Bhagat, Tamoor Ahmed (all from J&K Police), Anil Singh (Pallanwala), Amit Chander Singh (Udhampur) and Shubam Sharma (Akhnoor). |
