YCC, Tanishta Club win in Christmas T20

JAMMU, Dec 30: Youth Cricket Club and Tanishta Cricket XI, today entered in the next round of ongoing 3rd Christmas Twenty-20 Cricket Cup for College Students and J&K Cricketers by registering victory at Parade Cricket Ground.
Mohan Lal, SSP Traffic Jammu was the Chief Guest in today’s matches and was introduced with the participating teams. While speaking on the occasion, he conveyed his best wishes to the participating teams for their best performance in this tournament. During interaction with the players of the participating teams he was accompanied by Rajesh Gill, Organizing secretary of the tournament.
Earlier, in the 1st match YCC eleven defeated Oriental Club. Batting first, Oriental Club scored 129 runs in stipulated 18 overs for loss of 8 wkts. Vineet Raina scored 32 runs while Mintoo scored 24 runs. For YCC Eleven, Khalid took 3 wickets whereas Shahroz, Mudassar and Irshad got 1 wicket each.
YCC Eleven in reply, achieved the target in 13.5 overs for 3 wickets and won the match by 7 wickets. Abir butt scored 54 runs whereas Amir scored 32 runs . Abir Butt decalared man of the Match.
In the 2nd match, Tanishta XI scripted a comfortable win against KC Sports XI. Batting First Tanishta XI made 150 runs in 20 overs for 8 wickets wherein Ashu scored 42 and Sahil scored 40. For KC Sports XI, Sahil and Noushad took 3 wickets each while Vivek took 2 wickets.
In reply, KC Sports could not achieve the target and all out for 130 in 19.1 overs. Abishek scored 31 runs, Karan (19) and Romy scored 18. For Tanishta XI, Musa took 3 wickets , Sahil took 2 , whereas Bansi and Vijay Dogra took 1 wicket each. Sahil Sharma adjudged Man of the Match.
The matches were officiated by Sadiq Hussain, Suhail Yusuf, Sandeep , Vinod and Farooq and the Organizing Committee of the tournament includes Shakeel Beig DIG Jammu, Fr. CSO, Vijay Saberwal President Parade Sports Org., Anil Mahajan Gen.Secy. Parade Sports Association, David Mattoo Incharge Conduct Committee, William Mattoo Sports Secy. CSO and the Officiating committee includes Rajesh Dhar, Sunil Sambyal, RP Singh, Sudhir Singh, Sadiq Hussain, Suhail Yusuf, Sandeep Manchanda, Nitu Khokher, Vinod Kandyara, Abhijyot Singh ,Yogesh Sharma and Rajesh Gill (Former Ranji Player & Chief Prosecuting Officer).
