GLTF criticizes coalition Govt, demands revise pay scale of teachers

Jammu, Dec 30:General Line Teachers Forum (GLTF) Jammu organized a meeting and various issues were highlighted under the chairmanship of state president Neeraj Shamra at Gandhi Nagar Addressing the gathering, state president Neeraj Sharma said the forum demanded vehemently to remove the pay anomalies of teachers which is highly qualified lot as compared to their counterpart ASI (JKP), JE and others, who were in the same pay scale of Rs 4500-7000 pre-revised and now they are in revised scale of 9300-34200 with grade pay 4200 and teachers are still in 5200-20200 with grade pay 2800 revised.
"This kind of step motherly treatment has been meted out to education department only and much damage has been done to the Department by last Education Minister in connivance with many corrupt officials at the helm and now it is time to take up the measures to retrieve the last image of Teaching Community and Education Department," he alleged. While, general secretary Daleep Kumar Digra expressed deep concern over the way the officials at top manipulate the transfer of teachers, masters, lecturers and extracts the undue benefits from these persons. He said that this aspect of Department has earned the top ranking in corrupt Department.
He further said that GLTF also raised the voice against the last un-lawful, un-constitutional decision of corrupt government for inclusion of 5 years of temporary service in favour of ReTs for promotion benefits and transfer policy which is the total violation of ReTs scheme.
The Forum has also demanded upcoming government to see through these issues at priority as their Education Department is the backbone of the society.
Among those who presented on the occasion included Kiran Pandita, Digvijay Singh, Kailash Sharma, Sukhdev Singh, Tajinder Singh, Amit Dabgotra, Naresh Manhas, Aman Joshil, Hardev Singh, Sunil Singh, Dr. Sudesh Sharma, Hemant Sharma and Mukesh Sharma.
