Protests over death of 'pregnant woman her baby' due to medical negligence 12/30/2014 11:33:45 PM Early Times Report Udhampur, Dec 30: Family members along with locals today held a strong protest over death of pregnant woman and her baby alleging medical negligence and hospital management at District Hospital (DH) Udhmapur. Agitated over alleged medical negligence resulting into death of expecting lady alongwith her baby, family members along with local held a protest demonstration at District Hospital Udhampur. Amid slogans against hospital management protestors appealed Director Health Services Jammu to order a high level probe in this regard. While talking to media persons, the husband of deceased Mohmed Javed told that his wife was admitted at District Hospital (DH) Udhampur on December 28. He alleged that when the condition of patient deteriorated doctors referred her to Jammu which resulted into death of patient and her baby. He also alleged that there is no proper facility in the hospital and no senior staff is available while the patients are put to hand of junior doctors. He added it (DH-Udhampur) has reduced to a referral hospital only doctors did not bother to treat patient but only refer patients to Jammu. Shattered completely Javed broke in tears and said had the doctors timely referred the patient to Jammu both lives i.e. his wife and his baby could have been saved. Javed and other family members also demanded high level inquiry into the incident so that guilty can be booked.
