Early Times Report Jammu, Dec 30: Secretary, Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution Department (CA&PD), J&K Basheer Ahmad Khan chaired a meeting of CA&PD officials to review the progress achieved in implementation of the project namely "End to end Computerization of PDS Operations" in the State. According to official spokesperson, the Secretary CA&PD, Mr Khan highlighted the importance of e-governance in TPDS operations and stressed for early completion of the computerization of Public Distribution System in J&K. During the proceedings of meeting the Secretary was apprised that the ration card data has been digitized and the printed copies of the digitized data indicating the ration card details are being kept at the Fair Price Shops for access of general public where the ration card holders can rectify the errors in the entries, if any within fifteen days. The meeting was attended among others by Romesh Chander, Additional Secretary CAPD, Bilal Ahmad Bhat Director CAPD Kashmir and Arun Kishore Kotwal Deputy Director, Food and Ration CAPD Jammu and others. |
