Jammu, Dec 30: Police today foiled a bovine smuggling bid during a naka checking at National Highway at Jatwal falling under the jurisdiction of Police Station Ghagwal and rescued six bovine animals. According to police, a Police Party of Police Station Ghagwal headed by Inspector Sanjeev Chib SHO P/S Ghagwal under the direct supervision of Superintendent of Police (SP), Samba Anil Magotra and V P Singh, DySP HQ, Samba laid a naka on NHW Jatwal, however on seeing the Police Naka driver of the vehicle i.e. Tata Mobile No. JK02 AX-1386 fled from the spot leaving vehicle on the road. Police said, "During thorough checking of the vehicle police team recovered 06 bovine animals loaded in the vehicle which were being transported illegally without permission." Police teams seized the vehicle and a Case FIR No. 81/2014 U/S 188 RPC, 2/3 PC Act, stands registered at Police Station Ghagwal and further investigations are on |
