Rajouri, Dec 30: People Democratic Party (PDP) has condoled the death of Qazi Khursheed Ahmed ,a senior PDP leader and secretary Rajouri PDP district unit, who died in a road accident near Sarbal Mor in Heerpora area near Shopian in Kashmir while on way to Srinagar on Sunday.
The condolence meeting was held today at PDD office and a two minute silence was also observed in the memory of departed soul. Those who attended the condolence meeting includeTrilok Singh Bajwa,Ved Mahajan, Shanti Devi, Surinder Choudhry, Nijamudin Khatana, Zaffar Khan, retd Judge Manyal, Haji Shak Mohd and others and prayed to God to give courage to bereaved family.
The deceased was accompanying Ch Qamar Hussain recently elected PDP , MLA from Rajouri constituency was going to Srinagar via Mughal road on Sunday.
Sources said that Mufti Mohd Sayeed has called an emergency meeting of all the newly elected MLAs and the deceased was accompanying Ch Qamar Hussain , who was in his car, along with other party office bearers in two separate vehicles.
As all the persons left Rajouri in the late hours and when at about 11pm the Bolero bearing registration No JK 11 A-6869 in which the deceased was traveling in, reached at Sarbal Mor it slipped on slippery road and turn turtle on the road side.
All the four traveling in the Bolero sustained injuries including the deceased who received fatal injury on the head .
Ch Qa mar Hussain , MLA immediately rescued the injured to district hospital at Shopian where he succumbs to his injuries. In the Morning Ch Qamar Hussain abandoned the meeting and brought the body of the deceased to his native village Rajdhani in Thanamandi tehsil.
All the other three were also discharged from the hospital after first aid. |
