Shudhi Poojan programme held at Jawala Ji shrine in Khrew | | | Early Times Report
Srinagar, Dec 30: President of the J&K Dharmarth Trust Major General Rtd. R S Jamwal participated in Shudhi Poojan function at the shrine of Jwala Mata Ji Khrew in Pulwama District of Kashmir Valley. It is pertinent to note here that this holy Shrine had gutted nearly a month ago and at that time the Chairman Trustee Dr. Karan Singh and Trustees Vikramaditya Singh and Ajatshatru Singh had announced that the holy shrine will be rebuilt by Dharmarth Trust and its glory will be restored. Shudhi Pooja was performed by learned Pujaris of the Trust. Speaking on the occasion, Major General (Rtd.) R S Jamwal said that the construction work will be started on priority and the sanctity and glory will be restored keeping in view its importance and status among Hindus in general and Kashmiri Pundits in particular. Cautioning the devotees of Jwala Mata Ji against some scruples elements that collect donations in the name of the shrine, the President of the Trust appealed the devotees not to pay donations to un-authorized agents. Others who were present on the occasion include Additional Secretary Dharmarth Trust, General Manager Mata Khir Bhawani Temple Kashmir and a large number of devotees including local Muslims were present on the occasion. The bhog- parsad were also offered to the devotees. |
