Jammu, Dec 30: Demanding ban on the PK movie of Amir Khan, activists of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) Jammu on Tuesday alleged that movie hurt religious sentiments of the Hindu community. Number of activists gathered outside the Women College of Parade and staged protest demonstration while shouting slogans against the film for showing objectionable scenes about gods and goddesses of the Hindu religion. Speaking on the occasion, in-charge Ganesh Kunde, vice president Jammu Vikas Sharma, MAM college president Rajinder Kumar said alleged that the film had several scenes that 'denigrated' Hindu deities and hurt religious sentiments of the people. "There are some scenes in the film which are objectionable and hurt the sentiments of crores of Hindus. We cannot tolerate this," they added. They demanded a ban on the screening of the film. |
