Hostile weather: Three women injured, three animals perished, five Houses damaged | Latti BSNL Exchange also suffered some partial damages | | Early Times Report
Udhampur, June 22:At least three women were injured in Udhampur district where five houses, one Govt Middle School room were damaged and three animals got perished due to flash lightening in Dudu area Panchoun No 2, Latti Marothi of Udhampur District today this morning. Meanwhile Latti BSNL Exchange reportedly also suffered some partial damages "The injured have been identified as Kamlo Devi (27) w/o Sudesh Kumar, Reva Devi (42) w/o Sarpanch Panchoun no 2 and Silam Devi (32) w/o Somraj when some houses witnessed damages due to heavy rains that lashed the area, reports said. They said that the locals and family members rushed the injured to Primary Health Center (PHC) Latti where they were hospitalized. Meanwhile reports also added that three animals were perished due to lightening in which atleast five houses got damaged in Panchoun no 2 Dudu area. Talking to Early Times, the Tehsildar Latti Marothi Susheel Kumar said that houses of Ashok Kumar s/o of Mulkh Raj, Subash Chander s/o Mulkh Raj, Abdul Rashid s/o Nijam Din, Nusar Huassain s/o Abdul Rashid and Saleem Mohamed s/o Abdul Rashid got completely damaged. While one sheep owned by Abdul Rashid s/o Nijam Din and two cattle owned by Saleem Mohamed s/o Abdul Rashid too got perished while a room of Government Middle School Roun Flugu Tehsil Latti also got damaged due to lightening while Latti BSNL exchange also suffered partial damages. Locals and Sarpanch Dudu Hans Raj have requested the district administration to provide the compensation to the affected families. |
