Udhampur, Mar 5: Police claimed to have recovered 27 kilograms of poppy straw at Roundomail and Majalta and arrested three accused.
Police laid a naka and intercepted a truck bearing registration No. PB 10V R812 and during its search 12 kilograms of poppy straw was recovered. The accused has been identified as Bayant Singh son of Gurdev Singh of Dalla tehsil Jagraun and Sukhwinder Singh son of Karpal Singh of Sherpur, Jagraun.
In another case, police recovered 15 kilograms of poppy straw from a truck bearing registration no. NL 01AA-0621. The accused driver namely Uttam son of Bua Ditta of Mananu was arrested. |
