RBPS, ABSP jointly organize multilingual Kavi Goshti

Jammu, Mar 4: On the eve of Holi, Rashtra Bhasha Prachar Samiti and Akhil Bhartiya Sahitya Parishad jointly organized a multilingual Kavi Goshti at Dogri Bhawan, Karan Nagar Jammu which was presided over by eminent poet and former Director Doordarshan Srinagar Farooq Nazki and well known literary personality K.K.Shakir was chief Guest. A galaxy of poets participated in the Kavi Goshti and captivated a large gathering with their thought provoking and beautiful poetry in different languages like Hindi, Urdu, Dogri and Kashmiri. The eminent poets who recited their poems include K.K. Shakir, Baljeet Singh Raina, Santosh Nadan, Bimla Misri, Pyasa Anjum, Rattan Sehgal, Rajeshwar Singh Raju , Rajinder Aagosh, Chaman Panjori, A.K.Zadoo, K.Paris, Suman Pal, P.N. Shad, Dildar Mohan, J.K. Bezan, K.L. Pardesi, Satish Safeer, , Dr. R.L.Bhat, Amita Mehta, Neelam Mahotra, Varsha Rajput etc. While delivering welcome address, Prof. B.B.Sharma, General Secretary Rashtra Bhasha Prachar Samiti said that organizing regular cultural events and providing platforms to writers of different languages has been the prime focus of organization and it will continue to take literary activities to other corners of Jammu province.
Farooq Nazki, in his address appreciated the quality work of poetry and advocated that time has come that literature has to play a constructive and meaningful role in building up a society where human values should prevail and the generation next should incline towards own cultural traditions.
The Kavi Goshti was conducted by well known journalist, writer & actor Rajeshwar Singh Raju.
