Poonch, Mar 17: National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) Employees of block Mendhar area without salary for the period they had gone on strike at Jammu in favour of their demands, alleged that the people at helm of affairs demand bribe from them to release their salary.
Despite the order issued by Director Health Service Jammu that salary of NRHM employees should be released without any delay, 95 employees of Mendhar block have yet to draw the same.
NRHM employees who joined strike with their counterparts at Jammu of other blocks of district Poonch including Mandi and Surankot have received their salaries but the employees of Mendhar block were left high and dry.
The NRHM employee of block Mendhar along with senior PDP leader Advocate Nadeem Rafiq Hussain Khan brought the matter into the notice of Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Dr Mumtaz Bhatt who assured the delegation that the salary of the employee will be released shortly and directed Block Medical Officer Pervez Ahmed to initiate inquiry into the matter. |
