Early Times Report

Jammu, Mar 17: A Joint meeting of Jagti Tenement Committee and Soan Kashmir Front J&K was held here today under the Chairmanship of Shadi Lal Pandita President Jagti Tenement Committee (JTC/Soan Kashmir Front (SKF) J&K.
During the course of meeting the participants discussed various issues of the Migrant Pandit community in detail. Shadi Lal Pandita while speaking to the participants has said that in the past various famous Film artists visited Migrant camps in Jagti, Jammu and assured of different facilities to this migrant community but nothing was done. Pandita further stated that Anupam Kher a renowned artist from Film Industry and Ashok Pandit of Film Industry India visited Jagti to ascertain the conditions of the migrants putting up in camps and assured all possible help to the community but nothing was done. Now Vidhu Vinod Chopra is intending to shoot up a movie and has informed the Hindu Migrant community that male female of all walks of life are required for their participation in the shooting of the Movie on selected days for which an honorarium of Rs. 850/- plus to and fro transport charges has been assured. Pandita has raised question on Vidhu Vinod Chopra, if he has intimated the Kashmiri Pandit community as on what aspect the movie is being shot and has sought their participation in the movie.
Pandita has said it seems merely a job with this Migrant Pandit community as nothing has been done in the past and now seeking participation of Migrants on an honorarium of 850/- per day foe scheduled days also is a joke with the community.
