NHPC conducts free Healthcare camp at Bhunaad

Jammu, Mar 17: NHPC Sewa II PS under its CSR scheme organized a free healthcare camp in the Bhunaad village located in the remotest corner of Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh adjoining Bani block of Kathua district in J&K.
The unique feature of the camp was that it catered to the needs of people living in Khilgram, Bhunaad & Bhaned villages in HP and Khaddi, Deosal, & Kardoh villages in J&K. The camp was inaugurated by Rajan Kumar, General Manager, NHPC in presence of Lakhmi Chand, CE (E) & Gram panchayat Pradhan & members and the gathering of about 500 native residents.
A medical team comprising a gynecologist, a general physician and 06 paramedical staff looked after the patients numbering close to 350. Of the total patients provided with free consultation and medications, 65% were women and 12% children. GM, thanked panchayat members and local people for the help and support provided in conducting the medical camp and encouraged the local residents to take advantage of this opportunity. Local people, especially ladies belonging to were extremely grateful to NHPC officials for conducting such camps and for the availability of a gynecologist in such a remotest part of HP & J&K.
