Harsh Dev, his wife attacked by BJP goons, alleges JKNPP
3/17/2018 11:22:17 PM
Early Times Report

Jammu, Mar 17: Condemning the cowardly assault made on Harsh Dev Singh Chairman JKNPP and his wife at Khu Nallah on Saturday morning allegedly by the BJP goons the Panthers Party has demanded immediate arrest of the miscreants and action under law.
State secretary of JKNPP Gagan Pratap Singh said, "On Friday evening the reliable sources had intimated Harsh Dev Singh that he would be vulnerable to the physical assault by the BJP goons if he toured his constituency on Saturday. Singh promptly intimated SSP, Udhampur about the devious plans of the opposition and requested him to provide him security at various places where he was supposed to conduct his meetings."
Gagan said, "Singh was informed by the sources this morning that the miscreants had conspired to attack him physically. Reacting to the information, Singh again called the SSP to apprise him about the matter and asked him to provide the security cover by deploying the SHO and his team on the way. The SSP assured him that nothing would happen as he would direct the police officer to provide cover to him," Gagan divulged.
"When Singh was on the way to Ramnagar, he saw that hundreds of BJP workers and activists had blocked the road at Khu Nallah, with no presence of SHO and other police personnel on the spot. "The BJP goons who were led by Makhan Bandral and Rameez Sheikh ( already identified as BJP activists) stopped the vehicle of Singh and launched physical assault on him and his wife Manju Singh. They even pushed Mrs. Singh on the ground ruthlessly and had a scuffle with Harsh Dev who intervened to save his wife. The goons hurled choicest of abuses at the couple and tore the shirt of Singh who also sustained injuries during the assault," Gagan added.
Gagan said that such dastardly acts would not cow down Panther Party from raking the issues of Jammu region. He demanded immediate arrest of the miscreants and stringent action against them.
