Grameen Bank organizes Village Level Programmes

Jammu, Mar 20: J&K Grameen Bank organized 38 Village Level Programmes in Rural and Semi-Urban Branches of District Jammu.
Micro Finance and Financial Inclusion Department under the chairmanship of R.K Chhibber in collaboration with NABARD organized 38 Village Level Programmes in Rural and Semi-Urban Branches of District Jammu. K.L Sharma, Regional Manager Jammu, visited different branches of J&K Grameen Bank and aware participants about developments in banking sector and latest schemes. The participants of the programme are Bank Officials, SHG members from the village, NGO workers and SRLM staff. They were informed regarding importance of interactions between bankers, SHPIs including NGOs and SRLMs and SHG members resulting in better understanding and appreciation of mutual requirements, which will result in improved credit linkage as well as improved recovery. People were educated about the Aadhaar Seeding and Mobile seeding with their respective saving bank accounts which is need of the hour for the banking sector. Vipan Gupta, Senior Manager MFFI Department, J&K Grameen Bank, highlighted that the programme intends to impact the gathering regarding to give SHG members information about bank linkage, operation of loan accounts and prompt payment concept for NRLM subvention and other available support to SHGs. He also stressed on Cash to cashless economy. He made awareness to women especially at village level and aware the people regarding the benefit of the various schemes of J&K Grameen Bank like SHG, JLG, Handicraft Loans etc.
