JTC, SKF highlights sufferings of Jagti Migrant Township inmates

Jammu, Mar 20: A joint meeting of the Jagti Tenement Committee (JTC) and Soan Kashmir Front (SKF) J&K was held here today under the Chairmanship of Shadi Lal Pandita President JTC/SKF J&K. The meeting was attended by the office bearers and members.
During the course of meeting the participants have discussed different issues relating to Kashmir Pandit Migrant Community and the participants have expressed their concern over the present sufferings of the inmates of the Jagti Migrant Township due to prevailing pollution created by burning of the wastes/polythene bags by the Safai Karamcharies along the sides of the existing roads. Damaged condition of the main road leading from Kandoli to Jagti as well as supply of polluted drinking water which was has enhanced the death rate in this Migrant township. Shadi Lal Pandita while speaking to the participants has said that time and again the authorities concerned have been apprised about the polluted drinking water supplies to this township and requests had been made to the authorities for making remedial measures for ensuring hygienic drinking water supplies to prevent the lives of the inmates of this township but nothing has been done in this regard.
Pandita has demanded that the Relief Commissioner, Relief and Rehabilitation, Relif Organisation Jammu be kind that the road from Kandoli Nagrota to Jagti be repaired/renovated for ensuring smooth movement of vehicular traffic as well as pedestrains. Ensuring hygienic drinking water supplies either by ensuing construction of Tube Well in this Migrant township or from any other source.
