JAMMU, Mar 26: Govt. College for Women Parade Ground Jammu organised two day Seminar on "Green Environment" today .Event is being organized by the Science Club of the college and sponsored by The Indian Science Congress Association, Jammu Chapter.
The first day of the seminar saw three lectures being delivered by the invited speakers. The introductory lecture was delivered by Dr. Kamini Pathania from School of Physics, SMVDU, Anuradha Gupta from Pollution Control Board delivered her talk on how can a common person also contribute towards a greener environment. Dr. Angelika Sharma from Department of Environmental Sciences, Central University of Jammu delivered the final lecture which elaborated about the concept of sustainable environment. Dr. Hernia Agarwal, Principal GCW Parade, lauded the efforts of the students and Science club of the college for organizing the event. Dr. Pragya Khanna is the organizing secretary for the event and the program was conducted by Chitrakshi, a student of the college. |
