JAMMU, Mar 26: Acharya Shri Chander College of Medical Sciences (ASCOMS) &Hospital, Sidhra, Jammu performed Total Knee Replacement on 63 years old man.
According to Hospital's spokesman, a 63, year old male patient, Balwant Singh was admitted with Department of Orthopaedics Ascoms and Hospital Sidhra, Jammu. Patient was having Gouty arthirits with pain & deformity left knee. Patient was also having difficulty in walking for the past two years. Patient was operated on 22/3/2018 and Total Knee Replacement of left knee was done.
The implant for Total Knee Replacement was high flex freedom knee. It has the advantage that patient can bend his knee fully and can sit and squat. This is one of the latest innovations in the field of Total Knee Replacement. With Total Knee Replacement Patient can walk second day after surgery and it is very satisfying both to patient and concern orthopaedic surgeons.
