Jammu, Mar 26: All J&K Plus 2 Lecturers' Forum today celebrated Lecturers' Day at Teacher Bhawan, Gandhi Nagar Jammu.

The days' proceeding was started with traditional lamp lighting ceremony which was performed in presence of a number of VIPs along with all District Presidents and Central Leadership of the forum. The historic assemblage in the house pledged to re-double its efforts to bring the desirable improvement in the field of Education.
The speakers from different parts of the State expressed their views on the importance of the Day and discussed at length the functioning of the Department in School Education with special focus on the role of Plus 2 Cadre in the development of education in the state.
The House specifically focused on the confronting issues which included Benefit of Running Grade Pattern, Regularization of all Incharge incumbents including Joint Directors, CEOs, Principals and Lecturers, Fixation of Induction Quota into KAS in favour of Plus-2 Cadre or Repatriation of Joint Directors from KAS Cadre in School Education Department to their parent cadre, Restoration of 40% college quota for in-service Plus-2 Lecturers, Revival of Non vacational status and enhancement of grade pay in favour of 10+2 Principals, Reorganization of the School Education Department, Removal of pay anomaly of Lecturers in Physical Education and implementation of transfer policy in true letter and spirit.
The forum also flayed the government for putting +2 Lecturers only from Gazetted Cadre under the ambit of SRO-202 and demanded issuance of formal order for drawl of full salary along with allowances as per Cabinet Decision No. 184/11/2017 dated: 03-10-2017 at an earliest. Forum also demanded regularization of left out cases of Incharge Lecturers working since 2003 for want of bonafide certificates who have completed the requisite formalities.
The other highlights of the day were the annual report of the forum both at district and state level where the District Presidents raised the issues of their respective districts and the members of Central Executive elaborated the achievements of the Forum.
