Alleged Involvement of BJP MP, his brothers in murder case

Jammu, Mar 26: In alleged murder of contractor Raj Singh whose dead body was found on March 30, 1999 and Jugal Kishore Sharma, presently BJP MP and Nand Kishore Sharma, his brother were named as accused, Justice Tashi Rabstan has directed State to file latest status report of investigation in case FIR NO 44/1999 registered at P/S Jajjar Kotli registered u/s 302 RPC.
In the petition filed by father of deceased it has been submitted that on April 13, 1995 M/S Jugal Kishore, Nand Kishore, Naresh Kumar and Ganesh Kumar @ Munna sons of Bal Krishan and two others attacked Sham Singh, bother of the deceased at Kishenpur Chowk with sharp edged weapon. A report was lodged and FIR NO 35/95 was registered by the P/S Jhajjar Kotli u/s 307/148/34 RPC r/w section 4/27 Arms Act but till date the injured has not be summoned for recording his statement despite the request made to SHO Jhajjar Kotli.
It was further alleged in the petition that on March 30, 1999, the petitioner came to know at about4:00 PM that the dead body of his son namely Raj Singh was lying near national Highway Road Bridge Krishanpur.
It has been alleged in the petition that Raj Singh had told the family members that Jugal Kishore and his brothers had threatened him that he should refrain from undertaking the work of protection wall around the pillars of Railway Bridge at Kishenpur.
The petitioner told the police that they suspect the involvement of Jugal Kishore and his brothers in the murder of Raj Singh. In the petition it has been submitted that in the facts and circumstances of the case the investigation in the FIR NO 44/1999 u/s 302 RPC is not being conducted properly and effectively for more than 12 years and therefore, facts and circumstances of the case speak volume about the undue influence being exercised by Jugal Kishore (then MLA) and his brothers even the Investigating Officer is not implementing the orders passed by the Magistrate from time to time and seeking CBI enquiry in the said case.
