UDHAMPUR, Mar 31: Jammu 360, a community aiming to promote tourism, art and culture of Jammu region and to encourage the youth to incline towards nature, organized a first of its kind event at Udhampur. The event called "Yoga-Trek" was organized at Gangera hills, Udhampur, after their first successful trekking event at Sukhal Ghati. The main motto to organize this event was to engage youngsters into yoga to keep them physically and mentally fit.
Accordingly, yoga event was collaborated with hiking to make it more adventurous especially for the youngsters who are more inclined towards adventure sports. The total hike was of about 6 km and 24 participants from Jammu and Reasi district and others from district Udhampur participated in the event. The trek had a 60 minutes yoga session at the top of the inner ridges of Gangera hills. After that, goodies were distributed among the participants sponsored by "Beard and Body Lovers".
A discussion session with Rayees Mohammad Bhat, SSP Udhampur, held thereafter who encouraged the team in a big way to organize similar events in order to channelize the energies of youth towards constructive and productive purposes. |
