Early Times Report
Udhampur, Apr 17 : Jammu's pearl also known as Jammu's paradise on earth , Sansar is craving for basic facilities. The apathy of the tourism department and PDA has taken sheen off this beautiful spot.
A number of tourists who visit the picnic spot are greeted by dilapidated roads and shabby surroundings. Raj Shree Gosh a Tourist from Kolkata said: " Dust and potholes subject the tourists to inconvenience. The dilapidated road makes the tourists sick." Comparing Sansar with Switzerland, she said the place attracts less tourists because of improper projection by the tourism department and the dilapidated road.
According to her, it can become an all season destination if the authorities pay a little attention.
High hills, beautiful landscape, tall trees, herbs and shrubs and a lake make it an ideal tourist spot. Sanasar is 119 kms from Jammu and only 17 km from famous Tourist Spot Patnitop. Dolly a Tourist from Lucknow said that the beauty of Sansar cannot be described in words.
There is scope for horse riding, boar riding and paragliding but it is unfortunate that the authorities have been ignoring this place for all these years. Tourists said that the place can host one of the finest tulip gardens of the world. They have suggested measures ranging from repair of the road to providing facilities to the tourists.
