Jammu, Apr 17: Micro Finance and Financial inclusion Department is conducting Govt of India campaign "GRAM SWARAJ ABHIYAAN" w.e.f. April 14 to May 5, 2018 in the remote unbanked villages of District Jammu, Rajouri, Poonch, Kathua & Samba.
Chairman R.K Chhibber and Vipan Gupta, Senior Manager, MF&FI Department, J&K Grameen Bank, highlighted that the branches doing extensive work in unbanked areas to approach the unbanked individual under the campaign Gram Swaraj Abhiyaan a special multi-departmental and multi-sectoral initiative for reaching out to the poor households in villages of Districts Jammu, Rajouri, Poonch, Kathua & Samba.
The daily campaign aims at spread of awareness regarding the various social security schemes. He highlighted that this campaign mainly focuses on to give awareness about the benefits of Social Security Schemes viz Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJDY), Ujala Scheme, Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY) and Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY), Distribution of Rupay Cards. They advise all the branch heads for maximum enrolments in these unbanked and rural areas for the welfare of the weaker sections.
Regional Managers of District Jammu, Rajouri & Poonch, Kathua & Samba working extensively in this ongoing campaign by contributed about 1000 enrolments of PMDY, PMJJBY & PMSBY in just four days of GRAM SWARAJ ABHIYAAN. They highlighted that the campaign aims the maximum benefits to the individuals of the unbanked areas. They advise all the branches of J&K Grameen Bank falling under the jurisdiction of these Regional Managers to enrol more and more individuals of unbanked and rural area under these Social Security Schemes for the welfare of the weaker sections. |
